I am currently scheduled to PCS within the next week. I have already filled out my paperwork for PCS leave and have copies of my orders (which my superiors have been aware of since August).
However, they keep telling me I can't process the paperwork until I take a PT test. The problem with that is they expect me to take a PT test after being on a 24-hour range coverage AND they know that I am in the process of trying to get permanent profile because of shin fractures. They know I will be exhausted and that my legs are in a lot of pain, and that running causes pain to the point that I can barely walk.
They also have me scheduled to cover more ranges next month DURING the time I am PCS-ing, including the DAY OF the day I am to report for duty at my new posting. They expect me to work ranges, PCS, AND be at a range on the day that I am supposed to be at my NEW DUTY station.
I have talked to my superiors. I have followed the procedures. Yet at every turn, I am told "Go talk to so and so." When I do as told, I am told "Well, why didn't you talk to this person?"
I have tried to talk to the 1st SGT, who literally waves me aside like I'm not important enough.
I have considered going to Legal, but the 1st SGT's wife works there. I know from others that you are out of luck if you try to say something about her husband; she won't do anything to help you.
So, what can I do? Can my superiors really deny me the time I need to move my family and belongings to my duty station? Why do they have to right to cause more damage to my legs when they KNOW that I cannot run?
I am frustrated, angry, and not able to get enough sleep because of this. Everywhere I turn, I am ignored. I do my job, I bend over backward to help any and everyone, but the minute I try to do something that I need to do, I get yelled at for not doing my job!
