So lost..looking for advice from Women that have done this before

This is my first deployment and to top it we are getting married during his mid-tour leave in JAN. I love so help on how to cope with this and also i have a question. After the wedding can I get military housing on his post in Italy, so that I can be there when he gets home and also be able to be close to women that are going through the same thing? Or do I have to wait til he gets back? If anyone has any idea or has had to go through the same thing I could sure use some help. THANKS!!

soon to be the happiest woman in the world

Good luck, honey. It's not easy, but you can do it. First, stay faithful. It can be tempting to cheat when you've been alone and stressed out for months while he's away. Second, learn Army language and find other girls to talk to, especially women who have done this before. As for housing, I think you might be able to get something. Contact his "S-1." That is his personnel office. Your name and social security number need to be on the paperwork that assigned him to Italy. If they are not, he needs to get it added to the paperwork. Then, contact the housing office wherever he is stationed to see what is available. Also honey, learn these things (or write it down somewhere like I did): -His rank -Learn his unit. That is the organization he works with in the Army. -Learn his sergeant's name and number, especially the person left in charge back home if your man goes to Iraq or somewhere. -IMPORTANT - Learn what B.A.H., M.O.S., L.E.S. mean. Two of them have to do with his money. - Find his F.R.G leader. That is the Family Readiness Group - These people can move mountains for you if you know who they are. I hope this helps, honey. Stay strong. You're gonna be just fine.
