We'd like to thank the little people ...
Today I got an amazing surprise -- Ryan was one of the soldiers featured on Knoxville radio station WIVK's "Voices of the Front" segment.
It was supposed to be an even bigger surprise -- Ryan was going to call me and pretend we were having a regular conversation and then SURPRISE! we'd be on the radio. However, that didn't quite work out when the radio station called me and asked me to come to the station at 3 p.m. (in Tennessee, mind you), to which I replied: "Uh. I live in North Carolina."
So anyway, I asked Ryan about it and he realized his big plan was ruined -- but still, I got to hear him on the radio! He said hello to me and all our family and friends. :-) It was great.
So great, that here's the Instant Messenger conversation I had with my friend Erika while I was listening (paraphrased a little)!
Me: HE'S ON HE'S ON! THAT'S HIM!
Erika: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Me: AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Erika: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Me: EEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Erika: WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
