Honestly, I'm really surprised that Christy hasn't posted this, but I have found out when I'm getting my leave and we have finally set a wedding date. I'll be back in the Volunteer State in April, and the wedding is tentatively set for a day during that time. Those of you who are really close to us should be getting invitations and directions and all of that good gumbo in the near future.

This is a very exciting time for Christy and I and our families. The well-wishes that we have gotten ever since the announcement of our engagment have been overwhelming. I am very fortunate to have what I consider to be my own “cheering section” back home that has supported us throughout this deployment and especially in planning this wedding. Without your support to lean on when times have been so tough, our lives would have been so much harder.

Christy and I know that even though we don't have each other physically, our love stretches across the oceans and we are there with one another in spirit. Her heart beats in mine, and vice-versa. Our friends are the ones that are there for us when we need someone to talk to face-to-face. I thank all of you that have been there for Christy, and I pledge my allegiance to all of my brothers in arms, the Iron Sapper platoon, for helping me keep from going insane.

For all of you that support us, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I hope to see you at the wedding.
