It is a very sad time for our forces fighting in Iraq. One of our most decorated war heroes has been taken hostage by the insurgents, Staff Sergeant John Adam, aka "Special Ops Cody."
If you haven’t read this troubling story about his abduction yet, please visit this site before continuing reading this post.
It is my understanding that Adam was taken hostage after coming under heavy FPPF fire (Finger Propelled Paper Football fire) while patrolling through the Iraqi town of Mattellallah on Monday.
The insurgents, believed to be from the Muqtadda Al’ Cobra Army, have held him hostage using his own weapon, and have subjected him to long interrogations under a magnifying glass.
This kind of torture is inhumane, and it can not be tolerated.
His loving wife of eight years, Malibu Beach House Barbie, and their daughter, Babysitting Stacy, are pleading desperately for his safe return.
I understand their trauma.
But please remember, he isn’t the first hero to become a POW in American combat. The Vietnamese nabbed Kung Fu Carl when he was working with Delta Forces in the Mekong Delta during the Vietnam War. In World War II the Germans held Nazi Kick Nick until they freed him after the attack on Omaha Beach.
And who could forget the mysterious disappearance of Captain America at the height of the Cold War in 1980. The Russians had said they had taken him as payback for the "Miracle on Ice" at Lake Placid, N.Y. But we soon learned the truth, that our beloved patriot had fell in between the couch cushions, though we didn’t know it at the time!
On a serious note, this shows how desperate the insurgents have become. The elections happened whether they liked it or not, and now they have resorted to threatening to behead 12-inch action figures. I know I am definitely shaking in my boots.
But remember, if they can nab "Special Ops Cody," us average Joes had better keep our guard up.
