I just spoke to Ryan on Internet messenger. He said to let everyone know that he'll have new posts up soon! They have time limits for using computers on the base, and 30 minutes goes by surprisingly quickly when you're chatting online. But he seems to be doing well, and he looks good (I can see him on the Web cams they have there)!

On another note, if you download MSN messenger (http://messenger.msn.com/), your soldier can use a Web cam to send you live video of himself or herself (if the computer lab offers Web cams). This tool has been INVALUABLE to me. I can't even describe how wonderful it is to see Ryan and see his reactions to things I type him. If we can't be face-to-face, this is a great alternative!

If you want to purchase a Web cam so your soldier can see video of you, they're relatively cheap at Target (mine was $30 there) and Wal-Mart. And well worth the investment, I think.
