Greetings from Kuwait. Anyone reading this probably knows us, but if not my name is Ryan, and I am deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I share this blog with the love of my life, my fiancee, the lovely and talented Christy. This is where I will post what is going on in my daily life throughout my deployment in Iraq and where Christy will post replies and her story of how it is to live back in the states while I am gone. I admire her for everything that she does in being strong without me, she truly amazes me. But don't worry, for this place will not be the pages in which a romantic story spread across the oceans is played out. This is where I will let my family and friends back home know the struggles of war and updates on my platoon's daily livlihood in Iraq. Christy and I hope to make this a huge success and please check back often for updates. It may take a while though, because I won't be at my permanent duty station until later, and I'm not sure how long it will take for me to set up my Internet connection after that. But hopefully soon, we'll have this thing up and running.
