I am Cpl. William (Bill) Long's fiance. I appreciate your honoring him on your website. Just curious though... How did you know him?

Billy was my best friend when we were 10 years old. We shared a lot in common and our love of videogames being one of them. We spent a lot of days making forts and spending the night at each others house. I was so very hurt the day that he moved away, that I didn't say goodbye. As the years went by I always thought of him and cherished our memories. I had tried to locate him and my search ended today. I couldn't be more proud or warmed in my heart to see the price he put on the line to do the right thing. Christ says, " no greater gift can a man give then to give his own life to save another". I thank you Billy, You have given me the greatest gift a man can give and hope you can forgive my childhood faults. I love you, and I never have nor will forget you.
