Great OP-ED article. If only my former roommate could understand it...

Now, one particular part that I loved...
As for the pathetic Ms. Sheehan, since she insists on speaking in the
name of our troops, let me suggest that she does not even speak for her
own son, a man who joined our military of his own volition and who died
for a cause far greater than any represented on the National Mall last
weekend.
Key phrase there: "of his own volition."
Her son, like other troops killed and wounded in Iraq, knew the risks
they were taking by joining the military, and they signed up anyways,
displaying intestinal fortitude and courage beyond anything the average
latte-sipping, therapist-having, "free speech for me, but not for thee"
assholes who clog our Capitol's sidewalks with their drivel.
You wanna protest? Fine. But unless you WEAR a uniform, don't presume
to speak for the troops. Mrs. Sheehan, your son was a patriot, and he
tragically died defending a cause he believed in. Other soldiers have
too, and despite the propaganda, continue to reenlist and extend to
fight the good fight. Don't put words in our mouths if you've never
served. You DON'T speak for the troops, the troops do.
Look at this site in particular. I point out a few excerpts:

This particular NCO was there when the war kicked off, and he's there again.
It is a lot different
than when we were here the first time. Despite the news that you may
get in the States, the “insurgents” are loosing. Big time. It is
unfortunate that we have to go around wearing “Samarri suits” to keep
us alive if we do get attacked. But the fact of the matter is, thier
will is broken. They know that every act of aggression against us will
be met with crushing force.
We have a job to do. It's unfair for you to "demand" our return home before we've completed what we promised we'd do.
Can't WAIT to go to work
