Leaving San Diego
On the anniversary of the day that Muslim extremists attacked America, on the anniversary of the day that I began digging bodies out of the pentagon, I leave to join the fight against extremism in Iraq.
Weird coincidence.
It'll be about a year and a half before I see this town again. I'll miss it.
