Stephen Pearcy, the original lead singer for Ratt, has been touring, and last night he came to the club I work at! (Along with LA Guns, who pissed me off by not playing Ballad of Jayne, their ONLY real good song.)

First cool thing that happened. Mike Beard of Man Down Productions, a booking company and a friend of mine, got up on stage to promote our upcoming farewell shows. He said to a packed house "be here on tuesday, it's this guy's going away party. His band is going on hiatus because he's going to Iraq, so it's time to rock out before he leaves."

Then the place went apeshit... VERY cool!

After the show, Mike brought me backstage to meet Stephen Pearcy, one of my rock n' roll idols. He gave me a free shirt, thanked me for serving, and signed my farewell poster for me. I thanked him for making my last friday at the BLVD memorable, and then I hung out w/ the band and crew until they left.

Fuckin great. What a way to get sent off to Iraq.

Anyways, Stephen Pearcy was super cool, the show was bitchin, and now I'm gonna have plenty of motivation for today's practice!
