And peopel still claim an IRR call up is just a sham. Some NG recruiters may have used it for extra leverage, but Army Reserve recruiters are not BSing. Many troops will be and are being called up.

My Brigade Retention NCO just got news that he's going to be transfered out, because any and most of the IRR guys he normally works with will be recalled, so there's no real need for him to work with them full time anymore.

I would strongly recommend to any IRR troops out there to at least talk to your local Reserve Retention NCO. Find out your options now while you still have options.
